On September 8, 2016, Patricia Foley Hinnen of Capital Sisters International was honored with the Global Service Award for her 15 years service with the Village Bank Program, which she helped Alliance of Professional Women start in 2002.

Under Patricia’s leadership, The APW has funded thousands of women’s micro loans through 25 Village Banks in 11 countries, including Chile, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Malawi, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Patricia is dedicated to working with developing countries to provide micro loans to women entrepreneurs.
